Thank
you for visiting the HoLing Gallery. This gallery solely features
the original works of HoLing Hui. All works are Chinese watercolors.
HoLing Hui painted the Ling Nan
style for over twenty-five years. She studied under the world
renowned Ling Nan master Professor Chao
Shao-An when she was eighteen. She interrupted her love
of art to pursue her higher education in science and to raise
her family.
In the late 1970s, she began to practice her art again with
a group of Ling Nan artists in Minnesota. Her works include
birds, insects, and a variety of seasonal flowers.
In August, 2003, Ms. Hui was tragically killed crossing the street
in St. Paul, MN. She is survived by her husband, two
sons, a daughter-in-law, and granddaughter. All original work
will be put into permanent storage. Reproductions or prints
will be offerred for sale in the near future. All proceeds will
be donated to a memorial fund
set up in her name.
